Lou D’Alessandro
Lou D’Allesandro has for the last fifty years served either in elective office or as a member of the higher education community. His attention to gambling began about thirty years ago when he and Senate President Arthur Klemm proposed creating a casino at what was then known as Rockingham Park. The legislation failed, but his interest in gaming and the problems associated with it remain priorities to this date. As a high school teacher and coach, he has dealt with the many problems that occur at school and in the community at large.
D’Allesandro has served at President of Daniel Webster College, Executive Assistant to the President of New England College, President of Nasson College, and Vice President-Continuing Education at Franklin Pierce University. His political career involves two terms in the House of Representatives, three terms in the Executive Council, and thirteen terms as a State Senator representing the Manchester area.
Lou is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He has a master’s degree in education from Rivier University and was selected as a recipient of the Caroline Gross Fellowship.
